Personal Care

If your loved one needs support taking care of personal needs such as bathing and dressing, then Altruit Health Care support is the answer.

Our personal caregivers are on hand to help you keep going whether you need help shopping and preparing your meals, arranging transport, or a gentle reminder to take your medication. You will never have to worry about personal grooming as we take a tailored professional approach to help with whatever requirements you have. This means you can sit back and enjoy yourself completely knowing everything is taken care of.

Here is an expansive list of Personal Care needs we assist with:

Bathing and showering, including bed-baths
Applying lotions and creams as required
Dressing and getting ready for bed
Oral hygiene
Applying make-up, and hair care
Grooming
Foot care, especially if you are diabetic need to be extra vigilant with your feet
Restroom needs, including using a commode or bed pan
Cleaning intimate areas and changing bed dressing and padding
Prevention of bed sores by stretching and rotating position in bed
Providing maintenance of a stoma or catheter bag, and/or other form of clinical intervention

Errands

If driving is no longer safe, our caregivers can drive our clients where they need to go, when they need to go. This is included in our individualized care plans and may include the following:

Driving in the client’s car or the caregiver’s
Doctor appointments
Pharmacy pick ups
Personal shopping
Hair appointments

Respite Care

Do you rely on a family member for your care? Or do you care for someone and need a break?

Caring for a family member or friend is a positive and loving experience. However, with your own commitments, caring for another can take its toll and leave you exhausted. Respite care gives you just the break you need and deserve, we would step in and tailor our approach to make sure there are no disruptions to the individuals’ routine while providing them with the same level of care currently provided; you can then take back over when you feel refreshed.

Housekeeping and Laundry

Most people want to live at home for as long as they possibly can. But in time, we all require a higher level of care, and many people struggle to access the services and support they need. Our in-home health services place Home Health Aides in your home to provide the assistance you or your loved one needs. We work with every family as if it were our own.

Companion Care

Our Companion care provides the support needed for basic caregiver tasks, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assistance with errands. Altruit Health Care is the perfect choice for anyone who requires assistance to live at home safely, but doesn’t need advanced assistance.
